Eleanor Grosch



Grosch is an artist who bridges the gap between pattern design and illustration. She creates simple, bold and colourful illustrations and patterns for wallpaper and fabrics. Her illustrations frequently feature animals and landscapes constructed from geometric shapes, often making interesting use of negative space to suggest outline.  I find her work inspiring for its simple, but powerful imagery.  Her pattern design uses interesting tessellation and has helped me to experiment with new ideas for repeats.  Again, the use of her work in many contexts was also inspiring, as it shows the huge scope that pattern design has
