Grosch is an artist who bridges the gap between pattern
design and illustration. She creates simple, bold and colourful illustrations and
patterns for wallpaper and fabrics. Her illustrations frequently feature
animals and landscapes constructed from geometric shapes, often making
interesting use of negative space to suggest outline. I find her work inspiring for its simple, but
powerful imagery. Her pattern design
uses interesting tessellation and has helped me to experiment with new ideas
for repeats. Again, the use of her work
in many contexts was also inspiring, as it shows the huge scope that pattern
design has.
